The Vicenza Trade Fair Board of Directors met today to vote on appointment of the new President and the components of the new Executive Council. Following a period of transition in which Antonio Tonellotto remained at the helm, the choice of the delegates of the Founding Organisations – the Provincial Administration, The Chamber of Commerce and the City of Vicenza – and the Trade Unions, fell unanimously on the noted Vicentine entrepreneur Valentino Ziche. The appointment is seen as a unitary expression of the Trade Fair Board, which has decided to accept the new challenges of world markets with determination and commitment.
The new members of the Executive Council, who were also elected unanimously, are Alessandro Menegatti, Giuseppe Dissegna, Walter Sinico, Giorgio Costa, Giuseppe Sbalchiero, Sergio Rebecca and Michele Amenduni. The newly elected members immediately demonstrated their willingness to continue along the road travelled to date by their predecessors, to uphold the strategy of development and the presence and role played by the Vicenza Trade Fair, which is a reference structure for the entire Vicentine and Italian economy in the current process of globalisation. It was also stressed that a Trade Fair, which is a common patrimony, is capable of promoting and spreading “made in Italy” products throughout the world, remaining open to dialogue, willing to confront and face the international dynamics and resolutely interact with Institutions and Trades Organisations, in order to be continually and increasingly present and improve its action, as the artificer not only of economic recovery, but also of innovation in quality, which is being widely encouraged and demanded.
