VICENZAORO ITALIAN CLUB AND ITALIAN MADE JEWELRY TAKE THE US BY STORM
 
158 among the best Italian designers take center stage at JCK Show Las Vegas, the most important jewelry show in the US
 

VICENZAORO ITALIAN CLUB has finally made its debut in grand style. It is the latest brainchild of Fiera di Vicenza, a new traveling show concept where the best Italian precious jewelry designers will be constantly promoted around the world. The JCK Show Las Vegas 2011, the main jewelry industry show in the US, held this year at the futuristic Mandalay Bay Convention Center, was chosen as the launch pad.
From June 3rd through June 6th 158 jewelry designers from all major production districts of Italy have given the best representation of Italian heritage, in its highest expression of creativity, innovation, design and above all craftsmanship. This year, on the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification, all major government institutions and promotional entities are behind Fiera di Vicenza in support of Italian jewelry exports.
The JCK Show Las Vegas 2011 has boasted more than 2500 exhibitors; all major US retailers were in attendance with a considerable increase in the number of buyers from Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada and South America.


The presence of Italian designers was consolidated by the synergy of Fiera di Vicenza and Reed Exhibitions, the parent company of the JCK Show, the Italian Gold Jewelry Consortiums, Trade Associations, the Chambers of Commerce Special Agencies and the Italian Trade Commission of Los Angeles. “LA DOLCE VITA”, the June 4th fashion show based on Federico Fellini’s 1960 master work, was co-produced by ITC Los Angeles and the Vicenza Trade Show to highlight a selection of the most beautiful jewelry from 20 of the best Italian designers.


The Food and Wine from the Regions of Italy Tasting Event and a workshop with 31 local designers and a group of Mexican buyers was organized by Vicenza Qualita’, a department of the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Fiera di Vicenza. The 3-day Wine Tasting Event was kindly sponsored by Casa Vinicola Zonin.
VIORO Magazine, the official magazine of Fiera di Vicenza, has also proven to be an increasingly effective promotional tool. 10,000 copies of VIORO America, the special JCK edition of the magazine, were distributed at the show and “Scratch and Win Prizes”, with 5 VIP trips to the VICENZAORO Choice September Show up for grabs.
Lissa Fine Jewerly e Maurice Badler, two of the most prestigious jewelry stores in NY, Ramos and Villapando from Mexico and Neves Jewelers of the New Jersey’s Diamond Center were the lucky winners.
For the first time at the JCK Show Las Vegas 2011, VIORO magazine was made entirely available for the iPad as a free App download and in QR Code for smart phones.
The JCK Show Las Vegas 2011 was also the host of the first in a series of business seminars, organized by Fiera di Vicenza and VICENZAORO in partnership with the TJF Group, intended for the study of the latest trends in the jewelry industry with particular reference to Italian designers.


During the JCK Show Las Vegas, QVC, the most important player in the US home shopping market, in collaboration with Fiera di Vicenza, held live shows in the wonderful setting of Villa Arvedi in Grezzana and the Palladio Hotel in Verona, lasting a total of 10 hours and amounting to sales of $10M at cost value. This is a reaffirmation of the long-standing special relationship between the US market and the Italian jewelry industry.
